EXPERIENCE
A. - Institution : International Organization for Migration (IOM) Title : Senior Community Mobilizer – Project Assistant Duration : March 8th, 2010 – April 30th, 2015 & November 10th, 2015 – up to now Following the devastating earthquake of January 12th, 2010 in Haiti that has caused a huge loss in both human life and material, leaving homeless countless people, IOM provided and coordinated life-saving services, and shelters (both temporary and permanent) to thousands of people dragging in the streets or in assembly camps. To achieve these goals, IOM has had to rely on community mobilizers to accompany and serve the affected population through its reconstruction and return program. Tasks Assigned As Senior Project Assistant / Senior Community Mobilizer, I was responsible for coordinating with partners such as local authorities and other ONGs to conduct awareness-raising operations for the relocation of residents of spontaneous camps to safer and planned sites with transitional shelters or permanent houses built in neighborhoods, communities where they lived before the earthquake. My dynamism, rigor and sense of responsibility allowed me to manage a team of 10 site employees and particularly work in challenging communities (such as the communes of Croix des Bouquets, Pétion-Ville, Port-au-Prince, Delmas, Cité-Soleil, Gressier and Léogane). Working in accordance with the supervisors, and in close coordination with other team, as incumbent I was responsible and accountable for the following activities:
· Facilitate the projects implementation (Housing, Infrastructures, Community Violence Reduction projects);· Do liaison with the Mayors in Port-au-Prince and surrounding communes and other relevant Haitian authorities, and other NGOs; coordinate meeting with them for the projects implementation and development;· Identify and select communities in need (affected by the 2010 earthquake) in order to request appropriated solution to them (T-Shelters, permanent houses or other kind of assistance);· Manage the team affected to their own sites in mobilizing the communities for their involvement in the projects; conduct workshops within the selected communities; · Gather all relevant information collected by the team, follow it up with the Database unit; support the monitoring and evaluation unit;· Prepare weekly reports based on information collected by the team and submit them to the Supervisor; · Advise the supervisor on ways to improve program implementation and establishing activities related to the program development; · Manage the staff weekly meeting and substitute the Manager in case of absence; · Elaborate with the team a daily work plan for activities contributing to the project achievements;· Regularly update the data related to the projects with information collected from site colleagues; · Substitute in some cases the Manager during meetings with partners (both government and NGOs);· Train or debate topics to the communities where the project is implementing;· Follow up closely the progress of the works/ ongoing activities;· Participate in radio show to sell the organization achievements.
Extra worksAdditional works had been assigned to me at the closure of the last projects attributed to the DHS unit, as follow:· Collect contractors’ documents allocating them the submission and reception of payment from Finance unit.· Do liaison with Finance unit to make concerned contractors receive their payments.InterimI used to substitute the sub-office Manager during his absence and was responsible to manage everything and have a look over each unit activities (finance and administration, mobilization and technical units) and do all necessary coordination with concerned actors (GoH, Humanitarian organizations, Haitian local authorities, etc.). This happened at about two times (06/06/11 to 21/06/11 and 15/07/12 to 28/07/12).I used to prepare TA and Security Clearance, and made other arrangement related to the staff travel and also manage petty cash during the administrative/finance assistant absence.


B. - Institution : Index Group Title : Consulting Services Duration : September 21st, 2015 – October 2nd, 2015
In order to provide to MSPP and its partners technical support in (1) programming questionnaires for assessing impact of the results-based financing (RBF), (2) mapping areas for survey, and (3) setting up the actual survey data management system, I was hired as Consulting Services by Index Group.
Task assignedAs consultant, I was holding in one hand the role of trainer for the filling of survey questionnaires and the use of tablets, and also provide technical support to investigators and supervisors for all that relates to the configuration and use of tablets. A total of sixty (60) trainees attended that training. Here’s a few summary of task description:
· Provide comments, analyzes and recommendations for the full and effective implementation of the technical support that “Group Index” is called to provide. · Participate in the test sessions of questionnaires programmed on “Survey To Go” and provide technical advice to improve them;· Provide technical support in finalizing the training manual for investigators and supervisors, particularly the sections on the use of tablets and filling out questionnaires on tablets, quality control and data validation on the server “Survey To Go”;· Plan and install a module that will allow supervisors to perform quality control tasks, and train them on the use of this module;· Perform all other duties related to this activity requested by Index Group.
